Voter App — मतदाता सूची

Last updated: 29 July 2026 · The authoritative copy, and the one registered with Google Play, is at gauravkumarcs1988.github.io/voterapp-privacy.

This policy explains what the Voter App collects, why, and what happens to it. It covers both the Android application (com.voterapp.mobile) and the website.

The app is operated by the administrator reachable at 8447885185.

Who this app is for

The Voter App is a private tool for authorised users to look up publicly published electoral roll information for the Gram Panchayat they are assigned to. Accounts are created by, or approved by, the administrator. It is not a general-purpose public app, and it is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Election Commission of India or any government body.

Information about you, the account holder

WhatWhy
Mobile number (used as your username) To identify your account and let you sign in
Full name Shown in the app and to the administrator
Password Stored only as a salted cryptographic hash, never in readable form
Assigned Gram Panchayat Determines which electoral roll you are permitted to see
A random device identifier To enforce the limit on how many devices one account may use
Sign-in count, last sign-in IP address Account security and abuse prevention
Payment status and transaction reference To confirm your subscription is active

The device identifier is generated randomly on first run. It is not an advertising ID, and it is not derived from your hardware, IMEI or any other permanent device property.

Electoral roll information about other people

The app displays electoral roll entries — name, relation name, house number, EPIC number, age, gender, ward and serial number — for the Gram Panchayat your account is assigned to. This is information about third parties, not about you.

If you use this app, you are responsible for handling that information lawfully, including any obligations under applicable Indian data protection and election law. Do not redistribute it or use it for any purpose you are not entitled to.

Offline copy stored on your device

The Android app keeps a copy of your Gram Panchayat's electoral roll in a private database on your phone. This is what lets it work at a polling booth or in a village where there is no mobile signal, and it is why searching is instant rather than waiting on the network.

Because this places third-party personal information physically on your phone, keep the device locked and do not share it. If you lose the phone, sign out from another device or contact the administrator so your session can be ended.

The website does not store the roll on your computer; the offline copy applies to the Android app only.

Payments

Subscriptions purchased inside the Android app are processed by Google Play. Payments made through the website are processed by Razorpay. We never receive or store your card number, UPI PIN, bank credentials or any other payment instrument details.

We store only what is needed to confirm your subscription: the payment or order reference, the amount, and the expiry date.

How information is protected and shared

The app contains no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK, and no tracking for advertising purposes.

How long information is kept

Account information is kept for as long as your account exists. Payment records are kept as long as required for accounting and dispute resolution. Sign-in session records are removed automatically after a period of inactivity. The offline roll copy on your device is erased as soon as you sign out or your session ends.

Your choices

To make any of these requests, contact 8447885185.

Children

This app is intended for adults carrying out electoral roll work. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
